INDUSTRY SPOTLIGHT | Hugh Nash

Hugh Nash has worked in the field of mental health and addiction for over 32 years. His passion comes from his own personal recovery journey that began in 1986 and the freedom he experiences today as a husband, father, and leader. In the course of his professional journey, Hugh’s vast experience has ranged from counseling and coaching, program administration and development, admissions, marketing, and outreach. In 2010 he was awarded “The Professional of the Year” in the state of Tennessee by TAADAC for his dedication and work in the field of addiction. Hugh leads with compassion, empathy and understanding in his work with those struggling with mental health disorders, trauma and addiction. Hugh lives in Nashville, TN where he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. Hugh is currently serving as National Outreach Specialist for Intergrated Life Center in Nashville, TN.


Hugh got his start in 1990, where he spent 4 years with Recovery Residences serving as an adolescent counselor and case manager. From there, Hugh went on to New Life Lodge from 1994 to 1999, where he was responsible for overseeing all adolescent programing and assisted in the formation and development of the adolescent program. It was then in 1999 that Hugh first joined Cumberland Heights Treatment Center in Nashville, TN where he worked as the referent and community relations coordinator. Hugh then went on to work as a national outreach coordinator for The Coronado Academy, a therapeutic boarding school in Costa Rica. Then in 2006, Hugh was asked to come back to Cumberland Heights as the Director of Business Development. Hugh was responsible for overseeing all local and national business development as well as the admissions department. In total Hugh, served Cumberland Heights for 14 years.


In 2014, Hugh was tapped to become the VP of Business Development for New Beginnings Adolescent Recovery Center in Opelousas, LA. From there Hugh was asked to join Family First Adolescent Services in Palm Beach Gardens, FL as their National Director of Business Development. In 2016, Hugh became the National Director of Business Development for Next Chapter Treatment – Delray Beach, FL. Hugh was then asked to bring his expertise to Ascend Recovery in American Fork, Utah to serve as their National Director of Business Development. In June of 2020, Hugh followed his passion for helping families and joined Doyen Consulting Group and served as a Behavioral Health Advisor and Intake Manager.


Hugh is now working for Intergrated Life Center in Nashville, TN.
