In addition, she completed Boston University’s Social Services Study abroad program in London, England where she worked as an adolescent counselor in a residential mental health treatment facility.

Kirsten started working in the behavioral health field in 1998, where she worked at The Village ISA, in Long Beach, CA., a mental health association agency providing integrated services to people with chronic mental illness. From there she has over 2 decades of experience in the addiction and mental health field that include roles with the following: The Bobby Dodd Institute, LLC, North View Counseling & Recovery, LLC, Anchor Hospital, JFCS Project Connect, and Crossroads Treatment Center.

In 2010, Kirsten opened her private practice in Cumming, GA. Her work with individuals and families suffering from complex substance use disorders and mental health issues led her to become a nationally certified interventionist. She holds two national certifications in interventions: Certified ARISE® Interventionist (CAI) and Certified Intervention Professional (CIP). Her certifications as an interventionist have expanded the depth of what she can do to help families and their loved ones get the help they need. Kirsten's skills and experience have been developed from her extensive professional experience as well as her own personal recovery story. Kirsten believes in whole family healing and change and that is the cornerstone for which Therapeutic Recovery Network is founded upon.
