Job Description: The Master’s Level Counseling Intern will gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting under the supervision of licensed professionals. This internship offers an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios while providing support to clients through counseling and therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Interaction:

Assist in conducting initial assessments and intake interviews for clients.

Participate in individual and group counseling sessions, providing support and feedback.
2. Treatment Planning:

Collaborate with supervisors to develop and implement treatment plans based on client needs.

Monitor and document client progress and outcomes regularly.
3. Therapeutic Techniques:

Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques in sessions under supervision.

Engage clients in discussions to facilitate insight and coping strategies.
4. Professional Development:

Attend supervision meetings, workshops, and training sessions to enhance clinical skills.

Maintain a commitment to ongoing learning and professional ethics.
5. Administrative Support:

Assist with maintaining accurate and confidential client records.

Support the team with scheduling, documentation, and other administrative tasks as needed.
6. Crisis Intervention:

Recognize and respond appropriately to crisis situations, escalating to supervisors when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a Master’s degree program in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Previous experience in a counseling or mental health setting is a plus, but not required.
